This book was written to preserve the stories, stories based on what people actually experienced. To teach lessons from the past, to point out to
people what all this brings about. But also, to show that people are only people, whatever side of the battle they are on, and that it all depends on the
choice at a time in which way humanity indeed shows its humanity. In the Shadow of the Truth, then, is a book about people during one of the darkest
periods of our history.
