War novel gets a German adventure
Story: German surprise
Date: December 2019
The German adventure continues. The translator who converted my
short story from Dutch into German turned out to have also been
present in Enschede that evening. She knew about my book and had
become curious after reading the story.
Thus I have sent my manuscript of "In the Shadow of Truth".
Halfway through the night she emailed me: 'They should also be able
to read this book in Germany. This book is too important! I'm going to
translate it for you.”
My publisher Boekenindustrie has contacted her and arranged things.
My book will be translated into German, and I will continue to shape
the German adventure together with Boekenindustrie: we will market
it in Germany, and I will certainly present / launch this book in the
vicinity of German friends. Perhaps in 2020.
