Enschede for peace- Nominated
Story: Friends over the past
Date: September 2019
The library of Enschede was the stage for the results of this
special story competition, which was dedicated to 75 years
of liberation.
I turned out to be one of the nominees from the top 10 that
ended up in the collection and was invited to read my story
in the library in Enschede on this Wednesday evening.
Started this adventure together with my brother Sjef, who
accompanied me on this long ride there and back. Several
people came to me and told me that my short story was the
most beautiful and the most impressive; a kind of public
award.
A few also asked for the title of my war novel; they were
definitely going to order it.
