Jaap is homesick and hopes that things are going well at home. Every now and then, you can see through the eyes of his concerned
parents. They fear for the lives of several children. Some of their other sons also work for the Germans.
A war always has multiple sides. What would you do to survive? This story really makes you think. My grandfather was also employed
in Germany. He never wanted to say much about it. But continued to say that good things had also come from the war. Despite all
the pain and sorrow. And he often told me that there were also good Germans when I put them all together as bad… That's why it's
like Jaap is my grandfather. He feels very close and reminds me of him!
That's why this book gets 5***** from me.
